Empowering Ministry and Personal Growth

 Overview:

Welcome to a transformative year-long internship program at Clearview Community Church, where we are committed to equipping individuals for ministry, fostering personal development, and providing hands-on experience in a vibrant church community.

Duration:

January 2025 – December 2025

(15 hours/week commitment)

Incentives + Benefits (over $3000 value):

1. Global University Courses (Up to $1500 value):[i]

   - Pentecostal Theology of the Holy Spirit (3 credits)

   - Canadian and Pentecostal History (3 credits)

   Prepare for 'Recognition of Ministry' with the PAOC.[ii][iii] (if applicable)

 

2. Birkman Assessment ($700 value):[iv]

   Gain valuable insights into your strengths, interests, and potential areas for growth.

 

3. Leading From Your Strengths Assessment ($35 value):[v]

   Discover and leverage your leadership style for effective ministry.

 

4. Mentoring Relationships and Workshops:

Examples: (may include but not limited to the following)

   - The Strategic Process

   - Preparing and Preaching a Sermon

   - The Laws of Leadership

   - Pastoral Care

   - Spiritual Formation and Retreats

   - Community Engagement Retreat

   Engage with experienced church staff for personalized guidance.

 

5. Initiative/Ministry Development:

   Initiate, develop, and grow a ministry or initiative aligned with your passion and skills.

 

6. Pulpit Speaking Opportunities: (if applicable)

   Sharpen your communication skills and share God’s word with the congregation.

 

7. Working Partnership with Church Staff:

   - Access to staff meetings (if applicable)

   - Participation in the evaluation and re-tooling of current ministries

   - Vision planning for the future

   Collaborate with seasoned professionals for hands-on learning and growth.

 

8. Expanding Libraries ($150 value):

   - Have access to the churches’ resources and curriculums

   - Order books/resources in conjunction with your program requirements

   Develop by investing in your personal and professional growth.

Expectations:

- Attend weekly staff meetings. (if applicable)

- Actively participate in workshops and training sessions.

- Contribute to the strategic development of church ministries.

- Engage in research and planning projects.

- Embrace opportunities for personal and spiritual growth.

January - March: Orientation and Foundation Building

- Week 1-2: Orientation and Introduction to the Program

- Week 3-4: Goal Setting and Ministry Vision Planning

- Week 5-6: The Strategic Process Workshops

- Global University Course: Pentecostal Theology of the Holy Spirit

 

April - June: Personal and Leadership Development

- Week 1-2: Birkman Assessment and Interpretation + Leading From Your Strengths

- Weeks 3-6: Ministry Initiative Planning + Launch

- Weeks 7-10: Preparing and Preaching + The Laws of Leadership Workshops

- Global University Course: Canadian and Pentecostal History

 

July - September: Ministry and Initiative Development

- Weeks 1-2: Ministry Initiative Evaluation + Re-Tooling

- Weeks 3-6: Mentoring Sessions with Church Staff

- Weeks 7-10: Spiritual Formation + Retreat Workshops

- Pulpit Speaking Opportunities

 

October - December: Church Collaboration and Evaluation

- Weeks 1-4: Research and Planning Projects with Church Staff

- Weeks 5-8: Pastoral Care Workshops

- Weeks 9-12: Evaluation and Re-tooling of Current Ministries + Internship Program

- Pulpit Speaking Opportunities

 

Throughout the Year: Ongoing Activities

- Weekly Staff Meetings Attendance

- Regular Check-ins with Mentors

- Involvement in Church Events and Services

- Monthly Progress and Reflection Reports

 

Additional Notes:

- Workshops may be subject to adjustment based on the needs of the interns and the church.

- The initiative/ministry development phase allows flexibility for interns to focus on their specific areas of interest.

- Interns are encouraged to actively participate in church activities and engage with the congregation.

- This schedule provides a balance between academic learning, personal development, and hands-on ministry experience, ensuring interns are well-prepared for their future in ministry. Adjustments may be made to accommodate the unique needs and opportunities that arise throughout the year.
